Explanation

Methyl orange is a basic indicator. Its pH range is 8.3 $$-$$ 10.

In acidic solution when pH < 8.3 , methyl orange shows red or pinkish red color. In basic solution when pH > 10, methyl orange shows yellow color.

Here an alkali is titrated against an acid - it means in basic medium we gradually add strong acid.

As initially medium is basic so its pH is high (> 10) so methyl orange will show yellow color. When we gradually add strong acid then pH value will gradually decrease and pH become $$ \le $$ 7 at end point. So methyl orange will show pinkish red color.
